In class today we mostly talked about religion and location. 81% of the United States is Christian. The other 19% is other religion or no religion. Down south, the most popular religion is Baptist. Also in the south they say "y'all" a lot. Another thing we learned is that location can be identified in three ways. The three ways are place names, sites, or situations. A toponym is the name given to a place on earth. We discussed how many places have Indian names. A region is a unique area that is defined by one or more distinctive characteristics. We don't notice, but we have an accent from Maryland.
