In class today we talked about population pyramids. There are three different shapes or types of population pyramids. The first is Christmas tree. The birth rate is high in a Christmas tree and it is usually a developing country. The second shape is a box. A box is a developed nation with a long life expectancy. The third and final shape is the cup. In a cup, it is a developed nation with negative growth. A cup means there is a low birth rate. When you are looking at a population pyramid, the men are on the left and the women are on the right.
