Most of immigrants obstacles are political. Migrants need a visa to legally immigrate to a new country or a passport to legally emigrate from a country. Visas are usually granted to either employment placement or family reunification. There are 32 countries that want fewer immigrants, 21 want more immigrants, and 116 countries would like to maintain the amount of immigrants. Lots of people that cannot immigrate legally into the United States, enter illegally. They can be referred to as an unauthorized immigrant, undocumented immigrant, or illegal alien. In 2014, it was estimated that there were 11.3 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. The amount of unauthorized immigrants entering the United States is less than the number leaving.
